General
The people of the Czech Republic were used to western ways long before their 'Velvet Revolution' of 1989. The people of Prague even more so, and foreign visitors are made to feel very welcome in this great City of Culture. British visitors have really taken to this Central European Capital over recent years, and the architecture, history, and general sights of the place make this a great venue for a race.

You will want to come back and that is fine, because there is a Half-Marathon in March, and a Full Marathon in May. You will find separate pages on these.

'Why not give yourself a Central European Running Tour by competing in the Budapest Half Marathon and then the Prague 10K/5K the following week. We will be arranging group travel from Budapest to Prague by train on the Wednesday. If you like the idea of this, then you should enquire about flights out to Budapest and back from Prague - please ensure you write Budapest Half/Prague 10K in your enquiry'.

The Course
The 10K Grand Prix is an annual event, and the organisers have arranged it so that there is other entertainment going on in the city over the weekend. The course is flat, fast, and takes in many of the tourist areas of the old part of the City. Great for photos!

Entertainment:

We have arranged many tours to Prague over the years and we know some of the best places both for quality and price, for eating and drinking. Prague has become a top tourist resort and there are plenty of things to keep you busy. Take a trip down the river, visit one of the many museums, take a tram ride, or just chill out in one of the many parks. There are fantastic photo opportunities at every corner. Our after race party really is great, and with the race finishing failry early on a Saturday evening there is ample time to let our hair down and celebrate a good run. Prague has something for everyone.

Groups:
This weekend offers a great opportunity for Clubs, or training partners to get together. It may also make the travelling more convenient and enjoyable too. There are discounts for large groups (20+), but even a group of just 10 will qualify for an additional prize for the fast or last to finish (you choose).

Prices:
This is a great value for money weekend. If you are combining it with the Budapest Half Marathon the week before, then you have effectively made yourself a Central European Running Tour. Two great cities within a week. Prices start from just £149 for the Prague weekend alone. Non-runners obviously pay less.
