All Travel with 'Running Crazy Ltd' is covered under 'The Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992', and these regulations implement the EC Package Travel Directive in the UK.

For your Financial Protection 'Running Crazy Ltd' holds and operates a Trust Account, and all funds received in connection with our packages are paid in to this.

We operate two methods of booking trips. Terms and Conditions relating to each type of booking method appear at the end of each advice - when information is initially requested; or when a booking is made; or a reminder message, or final details note is sent.

'Normal' Packages

With our Normal packages you are required to pay a commitment fee (normally just £50) on advice that you intend to travel. If you are to pay in sterling then the remainder of the balance is due at least 14 days before the event. If paying in currency (normally Euros) then cash on arrival is acceptable.

The Commitment Fee is fully refundable up to 31 days to the date of the event. Cancellations after this date will mean loss of the commitment fee - as this will have been committed on your behalf for the first night's accommodation and your race entry. We will arrange airport transfers, accommodation, race entry, race number/timing chip/goody bag delivery, T-Shirt, After Race Party and optional extras.

This method is generally employed at resort races.

The risk to you in money paid to 'Running Crazy' therefore is limited to a maximum of just £50.

'Smarter' Packages

With our 'Smarter' packages you not only book your own flights direct with the airline, but you also book your own accommodation through special links that we have set up. We will advise you of the particular hotels to book. We arrange your transfer; race entry; delivery of race number/timing chip/T-Shirt; After Race Party and optional extras. This method is generally used for big city races.

The benefit of booking your own accommodation is that you can not only see the details of the hotel, but you can also arrange specialist cancellation insurance at a cost of just 3% of the total figure. This means that you can cancel your trip without loss up until 2 days before you were due to travel. Additionally where the cost of your accommodation amounts to £100 or over, you can use a deposit payment system of 20% at the time of booking, with the remainder due 5 weeks before travel.

Insurance is a pre-requisite of any trip abroad. Our link to GoTravel Insurance provides the standard industry cover, as well as cover for competitive running. All travellers on 'Running Crazy' trips must have travel insurance in place - your own insurance is acceptable of course, providing it offers similar protection to that offered by our policy.

'Running Crazy Ltd' is not required to hold an Air Travel Organisers Licence (ATOL), and we make no recommendation of any particular airlines to use. We have a 'Budgetair' low cost flight search engine set up on the website to assist you in finding the best priced and most suitable flights. You book your own flights. We undertake to arrange everything else that makes up your weekend break. This formula has been well received by runners from all over the UK, who not only prefer the convenience of travelling from a local airport, but also recognise the great value for money that these trips offer.
